Lisa Gerin

Lisa Gerin is a former teacher/librarian with a Masters’ degree in Education. She had a satisfying career working with children, teaching reading and writing to grades PreK through 12. Her favorite literary genres are historical fiction, mystery, nonfiction and biography.  Lisa has had her fictional children’s e-books published by Amazon Rapids, but her love is writing creative nonfiction; especially picture book biographies for kids. Currently residing in Tucson, Arizona, Lisa is a native New Yorker.  She is Mom to two grown daughters- both teachers. Lisa loves animals and nature, especially her rescue kittens, Thor and Cleo. 

Her debut picture book biography: THE GIRL WHO LOVED SCIENCE: THE STORY OF ROSALIND FRANKLIN will be published in 2022 by Beaming Books. 

Lisa is represented by Rena Rossner of The Debra Harris Literary Agency in Jerusalem.
